I would like to get everyones thoughts on what we should do about teams missing picks in 2013.
Should the rule be changed in 2013 or keep the rule the way it is?
Now, I want everyone to know that I understand that things do come up that may force you not to get a set of picks in for that week and when it comes to family I totally understand that is the most important thing and not racing.
Now, if you miss in the Classic Series that truely only effects you but, when it comes to the H2H Series it effects the whole series. This Season we have had 3 teams missing picks which has given MEB Motorsports 2 wins and JCR Motorsports 1 win which may have not actually happened that way.
I think I am more then fair when it comes to Series and that is why I would like to get everyones thoughts on What We Should Do or Not To Do in 2013.
Well you already know my thoughts about having a set of default picks (first driver in each group) to use so its not a forfeit outright. That's all I could think of though.
I would agree with Jay on this one. At least give the opponent something to compete against instead of a free win. But in no instance should the team missing picks get a win under the Head-2-Head format.
I like the ideas that have been presented so far. Another idea for consideration would be that if you don't submit picks for a race you have your prior race picks as your default team. This still gives a team points but penalizes them by the fact that they would probably change lineups based on the track being raced at.

I'm OK with any way you want to do this Wendal, but by no means does the team that forgets to do their picks get a WIN. You can do as all the others have said or take the average points from all the winners of the week and make that the score to beat for the team playing no-one. If you can't beat the average you lose. Just a thought.
I feel that if you do not pick you should not get points, you forfeit that race. I know that things come up and it can get overlooked but then you take that lose as the consequences, what might be something major too one is not always that major to someone else and if some rules are not followed then why have rules. In this day and age we all have hectic lifes and setting up a league takes time and you are not going to please everyone with them . Is it fair to the teams that pick all the time. NO! My thoughts on the subject.
Just my 0.02 worth on the matter. The rules are the rules, but if Wendal wanted to possibly amend the rule, I would be open to that. However, if he wanted to keep the same, then that is alright with me as well. If such a rule were to be amended perphas a "3 strikes" approach could be used.
First time missing the picks could be a verbal warning to the team. Whichever brand of picks (Sprint Cup, NWs or CWTS) your default picks for the missed race would be what you had in the last specific Cup, NWS, or CWTS race. Maybe you would be given half point values so that your team would at least have some point total.
Second time would result in a forfeit. No points for the race, and your team would be on probation for the remainder of the season.
Third time and your team is sold, just as the rulebook says.
I know that things do happen to us in our personal lives, and sometimes there are more important matters other than fantasy racing, but I also know just how much work goes into setting up a league and maintaining that fantasy league as well. I've helped with that before and it is a time-consuming effort.

I will take some time now and think about it all. I am very torn between it all because I understand things do come up.
The Rule for the WildCard & Playoffs which stats (If you fail to pick during the Wildcard/Playoffs you will Forfeit your Match Up and your Season is Over). Will Stand
I feel if you cant make your picks which honestly takes 5 minutes i mean come on if you cant take 5 minutes out of one of your days you shouldn't get any points you should own up and take the loss cuz thats on you and no one else. then again im not in the h2h series but this is just my opinion!!!
ok iknow this one is old it says aug. 1st but...... my thought for u honey are this if u do change things i dont think it should be the first driver of each of the groups or the picks from the week before i think it should be the last driver of every group if u go that way
But my thoughts r still the same we all make our picks if u dont pick to bad. everyone has a way to get a hold of u should they need to so realy there shouldnt be any excuses to why the pics didnt come in.
