Congrats Jay on your win and to all the winners this weekend.
Also to all the milestone wins this weekend.
So sad to hear of Ben's death, that cancer is a terrible thing and doesn't care how young or old you are, sending out thoughts and prayers to family and friends and hope you find comfort in knowing that others are thinking of you.
I wanted to thank everyone on Ben's family, friends, and his older brother's, Dean, behalf. Your thoughts and prayers were so welcomed and extremely appreciated by Dean, and his family. He wanted me to relay his thanks from him and his family at this difficult of times.
Yes, sadly cancer does not care how old or young you are, and it is a great shame that we lost an angel on earth, but God has gained an angel in Heaven.
Just to put it into perspective, Ben and Dean are brothers, but through my eyes...that of an only child...I see their friendship and their relationship as brothers to be even much more closer than what twins share with one another. They done everything together. And I was so blessed to have met them and they both took me under their wings as a brother of their own many years ago.
Having never had a sibling to loose like this, words simply do not come to me, though I do know about losing a mother and many family members through my 36 years thus far. As a friend and as a brother, I continue to do my best to be there for strength and comfort for Dean and his family, to the best of my abilities.
From me to the entire Ebach family, and to the FASCAR members that, if you just took a moment to offer their family a moment of silence, with sympathy and condolences...I thank you all for that. Also to Wendal, I humbly thank him for retiring Ben's #27 at the end of this season.
In closing, I will say that Dean has been in contact with me this week, and that he is slowly trying to regain some kind of balance in his life and to take a step or two forward, along with his family and friends as they begin to pick up the pieces from their tragic loss.
Again my many thanks and heartfelt appreciation to each of you for your thoughts and prayers for my close friend and brother's family.
