Another Cali race is over and it was typical ACS racing with several cars going a Lap Down and some being busted for Speeding in the last Speed Trap on Pit Road, though the G-W-C was anything but! A Last Lap Shootout between Angie Ebach and Mychal Cardwell vying for a win, they were side by side when Mychal’s car snapped loose coming out of Turn 4 to the Checkers, slamming hard into the outside wall before sliding to a stop in the grass never crossing the line to finish the race. The Ebach’s claimed the Top 4 finishing Positions and Wendal Ebach was the only driver to finish the race on the Lead Lap, dominating all day.

On Track Rivalry? Once again, Katie Cardwell and Linda Schmaltz tangled on track, after getting together in the Shootout, though both denied hard feelings after the incident in Daytona, the two were involved in another incident when Mychal crashed on Lap 151. When the 39 slammed the wall, the 55 and 12 were running nose to tail when the final caution flew, but when the 55 checked up the 12 did not sending both cars spinning giving both significant damage, though they did limp across the finish line.

"We fought a tight condition all afternoon on Saturday." Joseph Cardwell said Tuesday afternoon by phone. "Nothing we threw at the car would loosen it up enough where we needed it to be, or where I could drive it through the turns comfortably. We got caught "speeding" twice on Pit Road, but I would've debated that issue with the FASCAR Officials if I'd had a chance during the race, but it is a dead point now. My Crew Chief tried to argue, but of course we lost the argument on both occasions. We had a good points day none the less and moved to 2nd, but a loss is still a loss."

"This week it is on to Vegas for a Non-Points event in our # 31 Toyota Camry Cup car and look to get Team Dr Pepper turned around as we get the # 31 Toyota Tundra prepped and ready for the 200 miler at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 6th."

With #23 Wendal Ebach

When we unloaded the #23 - ND Game & Fish - Chevy on Friday -- I knew that we had a strong car and we could make it better -- so after the 1st Practice we made a minor change to the car -- and after the last practice I told my crew chief not to change anything.

Come race day we never once made a change to the #23 Chevy and we dominated all day long.

The one battle I was watching was the #95 Chevy "Austin Ebach" & #27 Ford "Megan Ebach" as both drivers got caught speeding after their pit stop sending both drivers down a lap but, it looks like the last pit stop adjustment that #95 team made paid off giving them the win this weekend.

It was nice to get a win over the '09 NWS champ.  She is a really good, competitive driver.  Shame that her and the #55 got into it again and messed up two good cars.  As for the #96 Omega Chevy, we tried several things to get it to run faster, but we just couldn't quite find the right setting.  Overall, still a decent day for us even though Auto Club is one of our better tracks.  The weather thru us a curveball here and really changed the track a bit.  We will take our finish and it's always nice to bring the car home in one piece.

Now we will just look forwrad to a bit of fun in Vegas and see what happens there.

With #27 Megan Ebach

I have to say I had alot of fun on Saturday in the #27 Ford as we tried all day long to get the car tight but, I think my feedback to my crew cheif was a little off and then that last pit stop speeding ticket didnt help anything -- I made a few rookie mistake but, hopefully I will get another chance one day.

I dont know it seems that Katie and I are destined to tangle on more than one occasion this season, but hey no hard feelings. That is racing , can't predict every move the cars are going to make. Hopefully Katie and I can work together next race and get a win for both of us, but I see the next points race we face each other, hopefully we don't take each other out right away.
Lets have some fun in Vegas.

With #95 Austin Ebach

We had a pretty good car all day long and on the last pit stop I guess I was speeding. I'm sure glad that it didn't effect the out come of the race for us.

Great run little sis -- it was a close one.

See you all in Las Vegas.
