This morning I'm sitting here wondering how everyone is feeling about the FASCAR H2H Series & FASCAR Classic Series as a hole.
I truely enjoy running the FASCAR H2H Series, personally I think its the best thing I have ever came up with. But, then that is just me. (LoL)
I'm alwayz thinking of ways to maybe improve or make it a little more fun but, I dont want to change something that everyone is seems to be enjoying and seems to be working.
As for the FASCAR Classic Series, to be honest I would like to run more races but, then I dont want to take away anything from the FASCAR Head 2 Head Series either.
So, any ideas or thoughts about either series that would be great. Also, nothing has to be change.
The one idea I have thought about maybe using in the 2012 FASCAR Head 2 Head Series is bring in 2 Conferences.
Conference Teams: Would face each other 3 times over the year like we do now.
Non-Conference Teams: Would face those teams 3 times but, here is where it could get fun. You would face them in a 3 races weekend.
Example: Daytona Int'l Speedway
Whooz Racing vs Dega Racing We would face each other in all 3 NASCAR races at Daytona Int'l Speedway that weekend. After that we wouldnt face each other again during the regular season.
The Playoff's would be alot different because I would only take the Top 4 teams from each Conferences which means that 2 teams from each conferences wouldn't make it in.
Dad, I will play no matter what your plans are for the up coming seasons. I enjoy what we are doing in the Head 2 Head Series.
The one thing I would like to see is more posting from Katie, Mychal & Vincent. We are the future of FASCAR and we need to make some noise around here.
The one thing I would like to stress is that nothing has to be change but, I would like to get everyones thoughts on this. The other thing is should we bring in a few more teams to say 16 teams. 8 teams per conferences.
I was asked by and e-mail this morning about how the playoffs would work and here is a sample of it...
If we went with 2 Conferences -- we would have 8 teams per conferences -- 16 teams as a league. The top 4 teams per conferences would make the 2012 Playoffs. There wouldn't be any wild card races -- like we are doing this year. It would be very simple playoffs set up. The conference names are just samples.
American Conference 1st Round
(1) Raisin Kahne Racing vs (4) Erickson Racing
(2) DJC Racing vs (3) ND Bad Ass Racing
National Conference 1st Round
(1) AE Motorsports vs (4) Renegade Motorsports
(2) Dega Racing vs (3) L & K Racing
American Conference Championship 2nd Round
(2) DJC Racing vs (4) Erickson Racing
National Conference Championship 2nd Round
(2) Dega Racing vs (4) Renegade Motorsports
FASCAR Head 2 Head Series 2012 Championship
American Conference Champion vs National Conference Champion
(4) Erickson Racing vs (4) Renegade Motorsports
At this point I would say that it would be Win or Go Home -- No Consolation Round but, that is totally open. The 8 teams that dont make the Playoffs -- Your Season Will Be Done.
Something I've been wondering too, should there be some kind of award or something given out to the Overall Regular Season Champion or are we all ok with just a Trophy being handed out to who ever wins the Championship during the playoffs.
How much money you spending on these trophy's anyway Wendal?
I know the idea is to have a Free League, but look some of us Donated money for the All-Star race and stuff, why don't you just make it a Fee to join to cover the price of trophy's and stuff.
To be honest Mark I have thought about that putting a fee on the League but, I have never done that since I started back in 2004. Dang 8 Years of doing this -- Where has the time went.
I guess what I could do is take donations before the season and then take a % and put it towards the Trophies, Shootout Race & the All-Star Race. Just a thought.
The only issue with taking donations is the same people will donate, others won't. If everyone enjoys this league as much as I do, They will pay. I know the economy is complete crap right now, but you can't cover the cost yourself.
I think its cool that for two races we have a chance to win some Cash, but we don't have to do it.
I know an entry fee is hard to do in this league with all the younger members in the league. so maybe I'm just thinking too much about this.
Nevermind me, I just like to ramble on, my original meaning behinid this was to help get everyone to cover the cost of the trophy's. I honestly don't know how much a trophy you get cost. I have bought plagues and small trophy's for Football leagues in the past. I didn't get any big trophy's just nice little desk trophy's to show off at work. I paid like $17 for it.
I'll stop now, I think I may have confuse everyone now, even myself.
No, I totally hear what you are saying Mark. We have younger players here in FASCAR I never knew that. Hmmmmmmm I will have to check into that.
Everyone that has played in this league the last 2 years has donated money for both the Shootout & All-Star races. Minus the kids.
The trophies last year where like 15 to 20 dollars each. Dang CRS just kicked in.
I just want to say the money is not and issue here. Just wanted to see if 1 trophy for the H2H Series Championship is enuff or there should be something awarded to the Team that finishes out the Regular Season #1.
Just got word that all of the Cardwell's will be back in 2012. We have 11 out 12 teams for sure returning in 2012. The only team left is Erickson Racing. Which we all hope returns for another great season of fun.
With Deep Regret and alot of time put in trying to decide about Erickson Racing future, Terri and Erickson Racing are closing their doors. Terri will not be coming back next year.
I dont' think she likes getting beat by NDBadass Racing. She has had fun though.
