(4) Birmingham Fire 8-4 Jonathan Carlisle vs (1) Magic City Bombers 9-2 Wendal Ebach
Man, what a great season it has been. I can't believe that we are getting ready for the Thunder Bowl II.
You know a few weeks ago I made the comment about our great FASCAR Matchups and I was thinking about some way we could face each other here in the UFL.
Who in the hell thought it would be this year in the Thunder Bowl II and now we know for sure we will have a Regular Season Match-Up next season for sure. (LoL)
That's true. You did sort of wish that we could face one another in the UFL, and wish granted it looks like! LOL! And yeah, we will have our regular season rematch in year 3 of the UFL as well. A lot to look forward to and just really excited for this great matchup in Thunder Bowl II. I wish you good luck Wendal and one way or another another piece of UFL history will be made this weekend. Another great and fantastic year of the UFL will come to an end, but we all can look forward to season three of the league with great excitement.
Good Luck Wendal and Jonathan,
I'm rooting for a repeat, so go Jonathan
It's your year,
Wendal if you win I'll be happy too though.
Good luck to both of you.
Thanks Mark and Linda. I am hoping for a repeat, but Wendal is Magic City is very tough opponent. Now you find yourself in a similar spot that Wendal was last week when you and I raced in the Finals @ Miami. Hopefully Thunder Bowl II will be just as exciting as Thunder Bowl I.
I still cant believe that we had the same picks Jonathan in the 1st Round of Picks. No Bison game Saturday so, you know which 2 games I'll be watching when I get home from work.
Wofford wins the first game, so 1 pint Wendal,
So the next game if Jonathan's team wins how many points
Does each of u need to determine the winner?
Good Luck Tonight guys
Thanks Wendal. As always it's a tremendous joy to compete in the UFL, and against you in the league. I congratulate you on a terrific Thunder Bowl II and on a superb season! A very close game that went to overtime. Not even the NFL has done that yet with the Super Bowl. I know we probably will have the rematch game sometime next season, potentially, so I will look forward to that game on the calendar.
The UFL Thunder Bowl II officially kicked off Thursday Nov. 24th 2016 and ran through Sunday Nov 26th 2016 only on the UFL Network. I knew I was in trouble with Wofford only scoring 15 points and the way San Diego was playing or should I say San Diego's running back #29 omg he had a amazing game.
I will be looking forward to our Regular Season Matchup next year.
Again Congratulations on winning Back2Back Thunder Bowl Championships.
Tho, I think you may want to rename your team the San Diego Fire, just saying
Congrats Wendal on running yet another great league,
What a great season, and Congrats on being the runner up.
Big Congrats to Jonathan on kicking our butt in both leagues this year and
Of course the Repeat.
Things will be different next year
Though, I will return to the thunder bowl.
Have a great off season all.
For the teams in the AFC, just remember Super Bowl III, and what a certain "guranatee" that was made and delivered, by Joe Namath. If history is any indication then season 3 of the UFL could be and will be a great and memorable one. Stay tuned, and find out next year. For us NFC teams, well, we just have to prevent this from potentially happening, and make a bit of UFL history of our own. Either way, 16 very good teams will again battle it out until only one survives. Just like the WWE Survivor Series.
As for the 2016 UFL season, you can only say what a wonderful and hard fought season it was between all the teams. We say new records be established, and old rivalries continue, while creating new and exciting rivalries across the landscape. All the way from the opening week, down to the end of the regular season, and through each round of the playoffs and then a first for the UFL, an overtime Thunder Bowl!
As a lifelong Alabama fan, my dad taught me to be patient and always know that in competition that a little bit of luck has to happen for things to go right. But to always win with honor and class..respect for your opponent...and when you lose, then you still hold your head up high, congratulate your opponent and walk away with humility.
I want to take a moment to congratulate and to humbly thank Austin & Wendal on this great and awesome league. Without all of you; Mark, Angie, Linda, Matthew, Will, Greg, Lou, Nate, Jeff, Jay, Megan, Phillip, & Kevin...this league would not be what it means to me, and I wish to thank each of your for your participation and your contributions to helping to make the UFL such a great place for us all. I look forward to 2017 and another great UFL season. I wish everyone a tremendous and blessed off season.
