The rumor mill is hot in NASCAR's Cup Series right now, with the economy still slow, many new things are popping up left and right! FRM's, #34 & 37, swaps to Ford with drivers Travis Kvapil & Kevin Conway (I wonder if they will be giving out free samples of Long John Silver's Fish Sandwiches with an Extenze tablet on race day! ), Aric Almirola signs to drive the #09 for Phoenix Racing & a partial Truck Schedule in the #51 for BBM, Furniture Row's #78 with Regan Smith, Key Motorsports #90, no Driver named yet, Tommy Baldwin's #36 with Mike Bliss, and Whitney Motorsports #46 with driver Terry Cook, plan a full season, Braun Racing's #32, will run 5 races with Reed Sorenson behind the wheel, Roush sells the 26 team and points to Latitude 43 Motorsports, the #07 team will not be returning at this point due to lack of sponsorship, haven't heard anything about HoF Racing's #96, and no word on what will happen to the points from those teams or the 44 team...will the #82, #71, and #09 teams move up, or will more teams buy into the Top-35 if no one takes over these points? Will any of the Start & Park Teams from last Season return, i.e. the 87 or 66 teams? That's just the Cup Series craziness! Next Friday we'll peek into what rumors are floating around the Nationwide & Camping World Truck Series garages!
And as the Daytona 500 looms a short month away, FASCAR Prez Wendal Ebach announces that the 10 Teams of the Mayhem Series will beat and bang in 2 exhibition races this season: the Bud Shootout on Feb. 6 and the All-Star on May 22! Nothing gets you more excited than an excuse for an extra trip to Daytona & Charlotte!
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm ready to climb into my #31 Dr Pepper Toyota and fire it up for 2010! Bring on that green flag & Boogity, Boogity, Boogity!
If I forgot something, then blame the Red Bull that gets me through my day!

Have heard on the radio that NASCAR might take away the wing off the back of the SPrint cars starting sometime early and replace it with the more traditional spoiler. Also some rumors about the no passing below the yellow line at Daytona and Talladega, may not have that rule this season. Also the no bump drafting rule at both tracks. Guess, more will be announced on Thursday at the media event in Charlotte.
Yea, have heard about that, but didn't mention it yet since NASCAR is being mum on the issue right now. I've got my fingers crossed they make all those changes.
