Well, the FASCAR Shootout is over and man did the sparks fly! Joseph Cardwell comes away with the big Win as the race finished under Caution when Linda Schmaltz & Katie Cardwell got together on the last lap in Turn 3 nearly taking out every else as they attempted to bump draft into the lead! This is Joseph’s first FASCAR Win since Kansas in September 2008. After a long week of trash talking and rumors of Toyota’s throttle problems, Joseph brings home the bragging rights and Winner’s Purse of $65. The rest of the Top 5 were: 2: Austin Ebach, 3: Jonathan Carlisle, 4: Angie Ebach, 5: Ben Garnett.
“I haven’t had much success on these plate tracks, but for me to win here in Daytona is as big for me as bringing home a Victory on my home track of Talladega or the Bull Ring of Bristol!” Joseph said in Daytona’s Gatorade Victory Lane.
Next, up is the Official start of the Head 2 Head Mayhem Series with the Daytona 500 on Sunday afternoon! Good luck to everyone, and remember that the Picks will lock at 12:00 Noon CST on Friday.

Congratulations Joseph on winning the Shootout. Nice to see you break that streak of races without a victory. Thanks to Angie and Austin for some drafting help. Daytona is not one of my better tracks so it is nice to finish in the Top 3 here. Also want to send out my congratulations on a well run race for our friends from across the pond. The first race for Weaving Winners Racing and the bring home a Top 5 finish. Good racing mates!
Now the real fun begins. The Daytona 500!
Reach up there and pull those belts tight, one more time!!!!!!
I would like to say congratulations to the Dega Racing & Joseph Cardwell for winning the FASCAR Budweiser Shootout. What a great way for that team to start off the season.
Myself & Mychal Cardwell where sticking back to avoid any mayhem that may happen and we ran out of time. The last lap mayhem sure wasn't what I was looking for, I didnt actually see what happen between the #55 Chevy of Linda Schmaltz & the #12 Toyota of Kaite Cardwell until now.
It looks like #31 of Joseph & #12 of Katie had a great run on the outside. As the #31 of Joseph got pass the #55 of Linda, Linda went up to block the #12 of Katie and wasn't clear. That's when the #12 of Katie Bumped the #55 which sented Linda into the wall.
It looks like my son #95 Austin Ebach & #96 Jonathan Carlisle worked good together tonight as they just missed the mayhem.
My wife #11 Angie Ebach & my mom #55 Linda Schmaltz did work good together all night long but it looks like Angie went down to avoid the mayhem and thats when #95 & #96 went flying by.
The two Ford's of #27 Ben Garnett & #10 Vincent Cardwell stock to their guns and worked great together.
