Avondale, AZ: The FASCAR Classic Series heads to the "NEWLY PAVED" Phoenix Int'l Raceway for the Cup Series Kobalt Tools 500 on Sunday afternoon.

Mark Erickson Jr. in his #24 Malibu Rum Dodge will take us to the green flag on Sunday afternoon for the Kobalt Tools 500. This is Mark's 1st Career Pole Award. Megan Ebach in her #18 M&M's Chevy will start 2nd.

Points Leader Wendal Ebach in his #23 ND Game & Fish will start the 5th. Other Championship Contenders Angie Ebach in her #11 Folgers will start 8th and Terri Erickson in her #1 Mountain Dew Dodge will start 3rd.

Avondale, AZ: On Sunday afternoon the FASCAR Classic Series headed to the "NEWLY PAVED" Phoenix Int'l Raceway for the Cup Series Kobalt Tools 500.

Jay Smogolski in his #02 Unsponsored Chevy wins in his 1st FASCAR Classic Series race on Sunday afternoon by winning the FASCAR Classic Cup Series Kobalt Tools 500.

Mark Erickson Jr. in his #24 Malibu Rum Dodge scored his 8th Career Top 5 on Sunday afternoon finishing the race 2nd. Linda Schmaltz in her #55 Diet Coke Chevy finished the race 3rd. Jonathan Carlisle in his #01 Unsponsored Dodge scored his 6th Career Top 5 on Sunday afternoon finishing the race 4th. Steve Willard in his #03 Dodge finished the race 5th.

In what will go down as the Closest Championship Ever Wendal Ebach and his Whooz Racing team won the FASCAR Classic Series 2011 Championship by just 1 point over Mark Erickson Jr. and his ND Bad Ass Racing team.

Wendal Ebach finished the season 1st with 1 Pole, 1 Win, 7 Top 5's and 14 Top 10's. Wendal's Avg. Finish was 5.7 which was 2nd in the Avg. Finishes.

all along was to win the Classic Series and I failed at that. Losing by 1 point,
what a great season it was.
I think all my sponsors might leave me now after the crappy ending of a season I had, and
